Over the past few weeks, an annoying problem has crept up in Swan. The AV Switcher in the podium of Swan will go out to lunch, black screen with rotation Crestron logo…… This happened to Dr. Brophy during the last Community Gathering…..
THE GOOD NEWS…..
As long as the AUTO feature is turned off (see below), the problem does not occur. It only seems to happen if AUTO is on. There is no rhyme or reason, I’ve tested it, and it can run has run as short as 11 minutes before going black screen, or for hours without incidence.
SO, BE SURE THAT THE AUTO LED IS NOT LIT. IF IT IS, PRESS THE AUTO BUTTON TO TOGGLE IT OFF.
So, long tech story short, to thoroughly troubleshoot it, I need to run another CAT5 cable to the other half of the MD400 AV Switcher that lives above the projector.
